Casa Maca Ibiza

Casa Maca is a unique restaurant with rooms in a beautiful rural location that looks across to Ibiza Old Town and the sea beyond. Set in a 300 year old farmhouse, it offers seasonal farm-to-table cuisine and country charm with modern touches, whilst also being within minutes of some of the island’s best nightlife, beaches and marinas.

Open all year round, Casa Maca – which translates to beautiful house in the local Ibizan dialect – welcomes diners and guests like a family home, offering authentic experiences and personalised service. The bright airy terrace of the restaurant and the open air dining space are the focal points of any visit.

The in-house restaurant at Casa Maca is a destination in itself. Whether breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the menus fuse global gastronomy with local, organic ingredients – and none more local than those grown on the onsite organic farm. Hotel guests, islanders and holidaymakers alike are invited to take a seat on the bright, airy terrace for breakfast and lunch, soaking up the magical Mediterranean ambience and those spectacular Dalt Vila views. Breakfast is also served until 12pm, which for those sampling the island’s nightlife or just taking it very easy, is always appreciated.

Evenings are alfresco at the open air dining space, which sits right next to the farm and plays host to an impressive grill, every Saturday and Sunday night and every night of the week during summer. Fresh meat, fish and farm-grown vegetables hang over an open fire. Diners relax to a soundtrack of great artists and DJs playing chillout music with a world influence twist while sipping on cocktails served from the aluminium Airstream bar. This space and its special atmosphere is evocative of the energy the island is so well known for. In the winter months, the restaurant’s spacious and stylish interior becomes the heart of the hotel, with an open fire and seasonal menus making it easy to settle in for an afternoon or evening of epicurean delights.

For those guests choosing to stay at Casa Maca, there are 10 suites peppered across the grounds including eight junior suites and two larger suites. Each of the suites varies in decoration but typical Ibizan style and rustic chic furnishings give a sense of place, while contemporary additions such as air-conditioning and Marshall radios offer the comfort guests require. The expansive bathrooms are consciously kitted out with paraben-free, certified organic botanical products by Grown Alchemist, meaning zero impact on the local environment.

Days can be spent by the pool or enjoying the privacy of the suites’ gardens or terraces, where guests can choose to book massages, facials and even private yoga classes.

Casa Maca can also be booked exclusively for weddings. The English-speaking wedding team, which has been working on the island for over 25 years, can arrange every detail of the celebration.

Casa Maca is part of a collection of independently owned restaurants, hotels and bars including Hostal La Torre, Cala Gracioneta, La Cava, and Villa Mercedes. The collection, which is owned by the Anadon family and grew from Ibiza’s famous sunset spot, Café Mambo, is really making it’s mark in creating authentic, experience-led dining, drinking and accommodation destinations.
